February Wildlife Activity

This month and March are very critical for the large animals survival for summer. The "gas" tanks are almost empty so let nature help them transfer to spring habitat.

Overall winter has been mild and most of the animals are pretty good condition. The big bulls are still here and look good. They will be dropping antlers now.

Quite a bit of predator (mountain lion) activity, so take precautions hiking with loose dogs. Would appreciate any signal (clues) observed passed on to me.
Have not seen the large coyote lately. Do not know its route now.

Saw some Robins lately. They be as confused over weather pattern. Turkeys are roaming around. They are "wild" and can attack if you stress them. Spurs can do a lot of damage to you and/or your dog!
